Comrade365
All around the commonwealth, we can find remains of flying-wing jet airlines used before the war for passenger transport. There is an untextured and unused model in the game files of one that is intact. Would like it if someone out there made a placeable workshop object of a textured jet airliner. Comrade365
What the intact airliner looks like:https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/b/bd/Fo4-jet-airliner-full.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/200?cb=20151218165013 (NOT A BUMP) Edited July 28, 2018 by Comrade365
kevkiev
Pretty sure (though not 100%) that somebody made a mesh for that aircraft and published it in the "Modders Resources" category just recently. That's a start anyways (assuming my memory isn't failing).

Comrade365
That is close but not really a restored version of the jet airliner, AGreatWeight. Here's what it should look like: EDIT: kevkiev , yes this is the one AGreatWeight posted. Edited July 29, 2018 by Comrade365
Vanguardascendant
I think that in order to use that particular mod, one would need to know how to transfer it to the game itself. I don't really know what that entails, but based on the mod author's description, it doesn't sound like it's something you could just "placeatme" in it's current state. Comrade365
True, it's just a resource. And it's not the same airplane, it's a bomber made from the parts of the airliner.Take a look at the picture above , i.e. what the airliner looks like when it's parts are assembled together.Note that I think comparing to other fallout games where you had various airplanes (P51 Mustang, Boeing shooting star, Douglas DC-3, B-29 and at last that unnamed civillian jet in FNV), in this game you have a vertibird (which isn't an airplane) and a stingray unit, they should have added a workshop object like that. If you want to rebuild boston airport perhaps, or make your own at a flatter settlement (like murkwater).
Vanguardascendant
For what it's worth, the post-war airplane parts are available in the Functional Objects mod. It looks like the modder's resource posted above basically just puts these together. One could probably do the same in-game using place-everywhere and basically just "reconstruct" the plane. Comrade365
If you put the parts together in workshop, you'll still get the parts that were blown open/missing etc. What I meant was a full reconstruction, like a brand new airplane.
Vanguardascendant
I mean, it's your call how "authentic" you want this to be. But you could glitch together various workshop objects to fix that. I've created faux-vehicles like that. The Skyscraper Building Pack has a lot of components that can help you bridge together the gaps. You'll need to use Place Everywhere to do things like change angles, change size, etc. You could also grab parts from some of the greebles mods to add various wires, piping, machine components, dodads, etc. Beyond that, you might be looking at writing your own mod
