Smite_Plight
for me their is only one way to make money in morrowind. Alchemy. Just start making restoee fatigue potions at low levels. and at high levels make levitate potions. you can sell them all and make a bundle without ever leaving balmora. Maquissar
Hail Anarchist, and welcome to the forums (fori?) I think the plural is "fora" :) To Anarchist : should you ever chance upon some soulgems, keep in mind thatyou can sell them for much more if there are souls trapped inside them, so maybeit's worth waiting until you acquire the soultrap magic :)
Xionith
If you have the amulet of shadows (if you don't click here. While your there you can check for other stuff that might be easy-as said before) anyway, once you have the amulet of shadows lots of things are possible. Many of which are a way to get money. You can go to the Balmora Mages Guild, and go upstairs. Now stand on the side of Galbedir that is not by the desk. Wait until she turns to acknowledge you, then hit the Amulet of Shadows on, and go around to the desk. Holding sneak, waiting for the sneak icon to pop up, steal all the soul gems sitting on the tray. Now go to Creeper (Ghorak Manor, Caldera) and sell the Grand Soul Gem. This should rake in about 60K. You can also go to Ghost Gate (I don't really think it would be hard for a begginer character. (check on the link given before and get the Boots of Blinding Speed, if the Un-blinding trick doesn't work because you can't cast the spell, I have a way around it. PM me for help on that) Go to the tower on left, and go downstairs to the room with the man and the fireplace thing. Do the same talking sneaking thing you did with Galbedir, and take the Glass Armor. Now if you are a light armor person keep it and sell the extras, if you aren't-hello Creeper, and hello TONS of money. BTW Anarchist, did the money thing that loveme4whoiam quoted work? For me, with a patched version, it didn't... So just wondering if I did it wrong or something or if the stupid patches did it... Also loveme4whoiam don't you ever quote me again!! :angry2: No just joking, it's putting my thread to good use! :D Somebody said "who wants to cheat"... Hey whoever said this is cheating, it's just a drunk scamp that happens to regenerate money (like everyone else in MW) so we took advantage of that and tricked him into trading money for money! Malchik
Somebody said "who wants to cheat"... Hey whoever said this is cheating, it's just a drunk scamp that happens to regenerate money (like everyone else in MW) so we took advantage of that and tricked him into trading money for money! Off topic I know but let's deal with this question of cheating cheating once and for all. You may play the game AS YOU CHOOSE. Just because I prefer to use subtlety to advance rather than milk the system doesn't mean I have the moral high ground. (Though, of course, I believe I have.) In my own view there is no need to hurry the game along and if you are willing to do so by killing the creeper for 700000 gold or whatever why not just use the console to add it or download the Island mod and start with over 1,000,000 and any daedric weapon you like? Don't worry too much about money, you'll soon have more than you'll ever need! (In the game that is.)
Blackmage
The problem here is that this dude is new to the game. Therefore, I think it's safe to assume that right off the bat he doesn't know what soultrapping is, nor does he know who creeper or mudcrab is. First off, pick up everything at the census office. Give the "Engraved ring of healing" (or words to that effect) to Fargoth. He'll annoy you for a bit, then raise your faction with the nearby merchant Arille. Sell everything you pick up to Arille. His money regenrates every 24 hours, so if he runs out of gold, rest and it will all be returned. Once you've pilfered everything that isn't nailed down, run out of Seyda Neen and find the magical falling mage ^^ The three scrolls he drops will be worth a pretty penny, and if you happen to have long blade as a skill, that sword he drops will be invaluable at low levels. By now, you should have close to 1500 gold. And you havent even cleaned out the local bandit cave, or done either the Fargoth quest or the Tax-man Quest. The tax man is found outside of seyda neen... just swim north (dont quote me on that, i think it's north) until you reach a small penensula. Tax-man should be there. Now, theres a little trick that will let you keep an extra 200 gold. Find the killer (i wont spoil who it is) and bring him justice. Then go report it to the guy that took down your information at the begining of the game. He'll give you 500 and you get to keep the extra 200 from the tax-man. Do the fargoth quest, it's explained elsewhere, so I wont get into it. Now you leave Seyda Neen and you've got roughly 2000-2500 gold, quite enough to take you to Balmora and get you a nice suit of armor. Once you get out of Seyda Neen and into balmora, join the fighter/mage/thief guild, whichever suits you best. It's a great way to make some income. Hell, join all three if it suits you ;)
