trackiedacks
My character has moved closer to the screen by this i mean, i can only see from her waist up whereas before i could see from behind her knees up, maybe a little bit more. Is there anyway to reset her back to her default position? Side note have not changed settings whatsoever have been the same since start of the game. I have thought of uninstalling and re-installing the game, but thought i would ask question first. Also has it happened to you?
xlcr
@trackiedacks, hi, seems like you didn't touch anything and this suddenly started happening geez. Are you running any mods that might have stopped loading for some reason; specifically, any mod that modifies your male/female skeleton nif's or race? Have you used console 'showracemenu' for anything?Reason i'm asking is 1st person view point of origin is determined by a special node in your character's skeleton. Also, have you or something re-adjusted your Field of View (FOV) angle setting? 65 is default and 180 the max..you can force a default setting in your skyrim.ini file here (i use 110):[General]fdefaultfov=110 or you can use console command: FOV 110(again i use 110)
trackiedacks
Yes i am running a few mods only body mod is calentes female body mod, which doesn't change skeleton, the POV changed when i was entering a console command for money or lockpicks where you do it on a repeated basis meaning arrow up enter arrow up enter, it has happened before i fixed by uninstalling and re-installing and all was fine until i did the lockpick thing and i didn't need lockpicks until about 40 hours on this playthrough. Thanks for the tip gonna give it a go. just tryed that fov 110 she moved ferther away but the screen went crappy i mean i walked into breezehome it looked it was 100 merters long Edited May 28, 2012 by trackiedacks
xlcr
@trackiedacks, wow never heard of a console command (accidental or not) that would radically change1st person view like that, happy to hear a uninstall/reinstall returned things to normal. About that 'repeated basis arrow up enter' procedure you described, are you saying you use console to add multiple lockpicks that way?I would think you'd only need to use command, for example: player.additem 0000000a 24 to add 24 lockpicks to your inventory. I quickly tired of the lockpicking chore so i installed mod: Lockpick Pro by Kenney - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=219fyi, there's an unbreakable Skeleton Key lockpick you can get lol, read about it here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skeleton_Key I apologize for the misunderstanding about using console command FOV.'FOV <angle>' adjusts the size of your field of view using a RANGE of 'angles' between 65-180 (just pick a number)(not just 110 which is my current preference running hires); so, you could use FOV 85, FOV 95, whatever until happy. xlcr
@trackiedacks, hi, seems like you've got somekind of mod issue/conflict.1st and 3rd person cameras are positioned on the default game skeleton.nif at specific locations and is probably being superceded by a loose file skeleton.nif one of your mods installed. Calientes Female Body Mod Big Bottom Edition -CBBE- by Caliente - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2666has been around a long time and one of the most popular mods on the Nexus, there is no mention of your type of issue in the comments section.CBBE can be tricky to install and customize using the sliders but i do not think it is causing your problems unless you messed up using showracemenu.I do not use CBBE anymore, switched to DIMONIZED UNP female body v1.51 by dimon99 - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6709 Anyway, after you've gotten tired of viewing Skyrim at waist level, I would take a close look at all the mods you've installed that modified your character in any way specifically anything involving the body meshes/skeleton, race, animations, or any radical gear. Are you running any kind of fancy HUD (heads up display) mod? Take a look at your the contents of folders:\Skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character\character assets\Skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character\character assets femaleMaybe you'll discover any custom (non-vanilla game) NIF files causing issues, specifically: skeleton.nif others are: skeleton_female.nif, femalebody/feet/hands***.nif but i doubt these would cause problems. If you find a 'skeleton.nif' file in the 'character assets' folder, try an experiment, disable it by renaming it 'skeleton.nif_whatever'; so, Skyrim doesn't find this loose file and defaults back to original game version in the 'Skyrim - Meshes.bsa' archive.Do a seach for 'skeleton.nif' on the drive you download and extract mods archives loose files, you might find which mod added a possibly bad skeleton.nif. A quick fix for you might be:Height Adjusted Races with True Giants by EvilDeadAsh34 - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=7587i've used this mod a long time, it essentially re-adjusts Skyrim races to be true to TES Oblivion/Morrowind lore.look for the file 'True 1st Person View by Race v3'..
