Simple question about editing Power Armor Frames

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

I've got a simple (i hope) question. Namely I'd like to edit a Power Armor Frame added by some mod (Midwestern Power Armor to be exact) so that it would ALWAYS spawn with A lining (basic lining). How would I do that? I mean I know how to open .esp file with FO4Edit, can find the specific frame under Furniture but I can't really see any record responsible for the lining that it has attached to it. Or should I just remove all the lining listed on data that appears when I click specific PA parts that spawn on that frame, except for lining A?

Thanks in advance.

P.S.

Same question applies to 2 parts that spawn in nearby chest - how can I set specific lining on those parts that are in the chest (i can find the object and list of the items it contains).

This video tutorial can be adapted to do what you want, but you need to use the Creation Kit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w57JUPYDa18

It shows you how you can spawn an item either in the world or in a container that has a particular legendary effect, using Leveled Lists, a Form List, and a custom Quest. You can follow the tutorial, but where he places the legendary effect mod in his Form List, you can substitute that with whatever lining Object Mod you want. Hope this helps!

Nvm i found out how to do it.

For anyone interesed - you just need to make a leveled item in FO4Edit, name it for example LL_Custom_Armor_set and add to it all the pieces you want (i.e. helmet, torso, left arm and right leg), use the Filter Keyword Chances Filter to set chance to 100 and apply for example if_tmp_PA_Lining_A [KYWD:00197DEE] if you want to get all pieces in basic, unmoded lining and then add created leveled item to the Power Armor Frame furniture, or container.
