bagelfromhell
In the image below notice how the face is a lot darker than the rest of her body. How would i go about fixing this? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/images/2710056-1338272154.jpg Edited May 29, 2012 by bagelfromhell
gasti89
I guess this is a custom NPC you created. - select the NPC in the object window - press CTRL + F4 - you will see a message telling that the facegen data has been exported - you will see textures and meshes in Skyrim/Data/Texture-Meshes/Actors/YourEsp/FaceGen etc etc If it doesn't work, then you have to "esmify" your esp with wrye bash as the 1st step. Then after all you can revert to esp
Xrated
The Dark Face Bug: There is currently an issue where created actors do not export their facial data (scars, make-up, tones etc) onto the rendered NPCs in game. This can be temporarily rectified by opening the console and selecting the actor in-game, and typing "setnpcweight x" for the selected NPC. However, this only sets the skin tones to a normalized state, with no facial traits. This can also be permanently rectified by exporting the facial data manually. Highlight your actor(s) in the Object Window listing and then press CTRL+F4. Unfortunately this might not work, until you've saved your plugin file, and restarted the Creation Kit. You know it is really not hard for you tech savy guys to create a mod or a program that does this for people upon all npcs. It already has been created ... It's called the NPC Editor, and it's 10000% easier to use than the CK for creating and editing NPC's, and it allows you to even edit (not just add) makeup, dirt and warpaint ... PLUS, it automatically creates the correct texture and mesh files for the NPC and NEVER has the dark face bug ... It's only 2 real limitations, is it can only save (AFAIK) 1 edited NPC per file, so you have to create individual files for all custom NPC's ...And you can only (AFAIK) currently place "new" NPC's in to one of the various taverns in Skyrim, not anywhere you like ... Perraine is correct, the NPC Editor is pretty nifty. As for my comment, i ran into this problem myself and found 1 solution to this issue. The things you can look up on google I'm noway in any form a tech savy guy :P
