VeronikaAlexandrov
merge multiple head/warpaint textures? I've got some that all are for the same thing the: femalehead.dds and what I'd like to do is merge them so that (1) there are multiple options of an oldrim warpaint/tattoo mod which I'd like to use in character creation for say racemenu which I am using for Skyrim Special Edition. If anyone can provide a good walkthrough that would be awesome
Roadhouse699
If you haven't already, get BSA Browser to access dem texture files. Use it to open "Skyrim - Textures0" in your "Skyrim Special Edition\Data" folder, then go into "Textures -> Actors -> Character -> Character Assets, where you'll find a bunch of .dds files with "warpaint" or "tattoo" at the end of their name. Extract them from the archive to where ever you feel like putting them, use GIMP along with GIMP .dds plugin to copy one onto the other (further details on GIMP for .DDS files can be found here), give the file a new name, and then move it into the following folder: "Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Textures\actors\character\character assets\tintmasks". In Creation Kit, go into the character -> Race tab, select whatever race you intend to put this on, select the gender of that race you intend to use, go into the "Tinting" tab, create a new tint layer, and choose the texture you just created, then add some color presets to it (You can just drag them from "Miscellaneous -> Color Forms) into the preset box, and finally set the mask type to paint. I think that's how it works. I haven't messed with character creation that much.
