ferogain
So, like many I run a pretty heavily modded game. And of course you have to be careful with conflicts, but I was curious if anybody else had this problem. I was building on Sunshine Tidings, and I already have a mod that makes it nice and flat. I also have one I made that removes the silo thing and the invisible collision markers. So I was building along and after several saves and a level, I noticed it was no longer showing up as a settlement. On the map it said CLEARED like it was just a regular location (I don't normally see Settlements as CLEARED), and I could no longer send NPC's there and it was no longer showing in the Workshops list. I did move the workbench (mod of course) and moved a couple things using modpos, but I have never had this happen before and was curious if others have experienced this. To "fix" it I just saved all my work on the build in Transfer Settlements, reloaded an earlier save where it WAS a working Settlement, and then imported but I have never had a Settlement lose it's "Settlementness" just from building on it. skyrim76
I had couple of similar bugs and couple of solutions was to delete prefs.ini and to load older save game (but not quick save or exit save). I also reinstalled all mods couple times and deal with bugs. I'm not sure if this will work for you but you can try, just don't forget to backup old files first. audiodef
This happens to me sometimes and is related to moving the main workbench. Basically, you can fix it by enabling the workbench in the console after looking up its ID. It's in the tips and tricks article of my modding guide, linked in my sig. If you run into this again and this particular tip helps, please let me know so I can document it. :)
