GT409
I originally posted this in the Bethesda Forums, I'm copying it directly from there: New Vegas kept crashing on startup. I would get to the Bethesda Softworks screen, and then it crashed, with "New Vegas has stopped working" message. I decided to reinstall the game. I'm installing form the original October 2010 disc. After it finished, Steam started to download the patch. But for some reason, Steam won't download the patch. It stays stuck at 70%, unless I pause and resume the download multiple times. If I do that, it downloads for about 30 seconds, then stops again, with only a few MB downloaded. Edit: Apparently, all I had to do was copy the DLC BSAs from the data backup I made before I uninstalled. Problem solved. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. davycrockett
nothing unusual with steam they provide a poor service at best the only way i could resolve these download issues was to do it over night when network traffic dropped to a low volume also in steam settings somewhere you can "configure" your network connection you will have to google the answer to that as i cant remember also check for you tube vids give that a go first .
