Sex changes

I think by now you all know I love the Glenvar Castle mod and I had asked how I could get a male personal servant rather than the female (for one, I'm gay and for another, this would be more realistic). Someone suggested using the CS to just change their sex.

Well I've not done anything with the CS yet but after a little dabbling I discovered how to do this and managed to find the 'offending' NPC. heh.

I tried with a couple of the female trainers as well, just for the heck of it since I was finally using the CS and I discovered I couldn't. I got error messages about there being no .nif and / or meshes. So I said OK, forget those as I don't yet know how to resolve that and I just left it at being the personal servant.

Well, even though it seemed to have worked with her (although I couldn't change her name), he now has no body, just a floating head and limbs. hehe.

I can, of course, change him back into a her but I wondered if this was something I could muddle through with some tips or is it too convoluted?

Cheers.

well you may want to check the "stout" clothing that the servents wear. i frankly found it to be the only truely annoying factor of the mod (besdes the quest ofcorse) the stout clothing is actually armour and i am not sure if Quartz included the alternet gender models for each so a missing mesh for that gender in clothing can often be the cause of such a problem

Ah so they aren't vanilla meshes then. Thank you for that, I'll keep on digging and learning. :)

And umm, reported? I'd love to see the reason for that.

The reason was bumping, but you did get your answer.

Buddah

Adding to my own post after a couple of days warrants a report despite all the helpful replies I post? Nice. Whoever reported it needs to bloody relax.

Edit: I found the reference to bumping in the forum rules as follows:

CHAPTER II - SPAM

Spam is...

1) Posting one liners. Replying to a thread and just saying something like "hey!" "yeah!" "lol" "I agree" "no" etc..

2) Posting the same thread/post repeatedly in order to gain attention.

3) Posting something completely off-topic (OT) that has nothing to do with the thread.

4) Posting in a thread to simply "bump" it back to the top of the forum listings with no additional or useful content.

I did not do any of those. I asked a genuine question about whether the content was stopping people from replying. End of.
