Faction related console commands

i know you can join a faction, i know you can mod your rank and i'm aware that you can even make bandits friendly. But is there a command (or mod?) to make certain factions aggressive or attack on sight? if your character is a Stormcloak sympathizer or -even worse- member, imperial soldiers just stroll on by. And even if your character is sporting full imperial armor, Stormcloak soldiers don't seem to mind at all!

i want imperial soldiers to attack me. i want Stormcloaks to threaten me.

i don't want to be able to shop freely in Solitude as a Stormcloak member.

Nor would i expect to stomp through Windhelm looking like an imperial spy.

if i can, i'd be happy just modding my faction alignment via console.

Simple answer ...It's possible, You can use the addfac and setrelationshiprank console commands to change/add yourself or NPC's to various factions (a web search will give a a list of factions)

Not simple answer ... It's way more difficult to actually get this to work without running into probably some major AI bugs, the relationships and factions in Skyrim are quite complex and changing them would require the use of a mod that is scripted to only apply at certain times or under certain conditions, i.e. the "disguise" feature in Fallout:New Vegas where you could wear the armor of one faction and low level members/allies of that faction would be friendly towards you and all enemies of that faction would attack you.

It MAY be possible to re-implement this feature in Skyrim, but I have no idea how

Well, my current character is more-or-less a defected imperial soldier. i wanted some added challenge by making all imperial soldiers attack me on sight. i don't want others to attack, just imperial soldiers in uniform. Obviously, i don't plan on doing any imperial quests so there wouldn't be any problems that i can think of...at least aside from those i'm expecting.

i've found (and used) the faction commands for other characters but...

addtofaction <faction ID> <faction rank>}

...only gives two variables : faction id and rank. i don't think there's a value for "enemy", is there? i've tried adding myself to all different factions with the hopes of finding ONE that pisses off the imperials in Solitude but i haven't found any. if the UESP listed factions' enemies, this would be a whole lot easier. in Morrowind, it was easy to modify faction enemies by simply joining an enemy faction via the console. i've even searched for some unlisted factions like those that make Thalmor attack on site and none of those seem to work either.

As for...

setrelationship

...it doesn't work on factions, just individuals. Adding myself to certain factions certainly helps to make other attack me, but never JUST imperial soldiers. Adding myself to certain crime factions causes towns people to attack or flee and simply adding myself to enemy factions only drops me disposition with people to 0.

Again, i just want imperial soldiers to know who i am and attack...not everybody.

Weeellll, you could maybe try creating a new "faction" with the CK, but I haven't a clue how to get this to work properly (need a CK expert) ... From what I can see the only real named 'enemies' of the Imperial faction are the same ones everyone hates (werewolf & vampire) and more specifically "Sons" faction which I'm assuming means "Sons of Talos" faction (Stormcloak's?) plus the default factions everyone hates, forsworn and bandits ...

I liked how in Fallout:NV wearing a faction's armour 'disguised' you as a member of that faction, i don't know why this feature was taken out for the imprials/ Stormcloacks as it makes sense. As for the bandits i think you should be able to offer a truce to them if you are an evil character for more realistic gameplay!

FOUND iT!!

And it works pretty well with Guard Faction Armor (disguises). Now my Stormcloak and Stormcloak supporting characters are attacked on sight by imperial guards and vice-versa. it doesn't work AS WELL as New Vegas' system but even theirs was a bit glitchy.
