need help :(

i dont know much about mods. a friend of mine installed all the mods but my game starts to crash every now and then, starting the game causes it to crash or freeze my whole computer.

You have the wrong version of Static Mesh Improvement Mod installed. You need the Legendary Edition version, not Special Edition. The download contains both, so you can just reinstall it and select the right option. If you're using NMM, then you have to figure out what the overwrite order is. For SMIM, I recommend not overwriting anything since most mods include SMIM fixes already.

 

You can also try disabling the Bashed Patch. I can't see what mods have been merged into it, so this might disable some things. It sometimes causes startup errors, so just see if that's the cause. If not, then enable it again.

Okay, then we're going to have to go a little deeper:

• Ultimate Follower Overhaul is somewhat unstable. You can replace it with Extensible Follower Framework, Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks or Follower Live Package. If you currently have followers, there is an uninstall procedure for UFO (in the mod description).
• Since you're using Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (CCOR), you can disable Dr_Bandolier.esp. Enable it in the in-game Mod Configuration Menu for CCOR under "Enable Mods".
• If you merged leveled lists into the Bashed Patch, then you can disable "Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp".

To help with crashes, I recommend these:

• Make sure you have the SKSE Memory Patch set up.
• Install Crash Fixes and be sure to read the description. It requires SKSE Plugin Preloader. It changes how memory is allocated, which might fix crashes, and it can give you (somewhat) user-friendly error messages when you crash.
• Install Load Game CTD Fix. It fixes a thread race condition when loading save games.
• ENBoost - This gives you the memory management features of ENB without the visual effects processing. It lets you take advantage of more RAM. Not needed if you run an ENB.
