Skyrim not responding and CTD Please help

I have recently started modding on Skyrim PC, I use Loot and Mod Organizer. When I start the game using alternate start, I go to riverwood tavern but as soon as I try to leave the tavern, the loading screen pops up and then I get a message saying "Skyrim is not responding" then it will just keep loading until it CTD. I have been googling and youtubing solutions for the past two days and I just cannot figure out how to fix it. If anyone could help, I will be eternally grateful!
