dhitchner Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 (edited) I am having some problems with my initial installation of mods. In LOOT, I am getting this error, "This plugin requires "GunRunnersArsenal.esm" to be active, but it is inactive." I was following the mod installation instructions from this video: I installed Nexus Mod Manager, then LOOT and then I ran FNVEdit and did all the things in the video to all the DLCs that I had. I then installed a 4GB patcher (since I have Steam version), and finally I installed NVSE (all of these using manual installation). I went to install Mission Mojave and here is where I realized that Gun Runner's Arsenal was one of the needed DLCs (I didn't have this one since it is just an equipment mod). So, I went on Steam and bought GRA, installed it, and then ran FNVEdit and did all the things to the GRA DLC. I figured I did what I was supposed to do, and then I proceeded to install Mission Mojave and then YUP. But when I loaded up LOOT, there isn't a check mark next to GunRunnersArsenal.esm like there is with all the other mods. And I have that error message under "YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm" and "Mission Mojave - Ultimate Edition.esp" I guess, long story short, why isn't "GunRunnersArsenal.exm" active and how do I activate it? Please excuse my ignorance, since I am new to modding and trying to learn as I go along. EDIT:OMG, nevermind... I am a noob. I just had to go to "plugins" on NMM and click the checkmark. Then I went to LOOT and everything is cool (hopefully). If you have read this far and was going to help me, thank you for taking your time. I'm going to leave this here and hopefully, this will help someone else with the same problem. Edited August 6, 2018 by dhitchner
dubiousintent Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Please see the 'Towards Game Stability' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.YUP and MMUE are attempting to do the same things and are not compatible with each other. Use one or the other (YUP is still getting updated and is recommended), but not both. This highlights a potential problem with video guides. They are seldom updated over time (because they take so much work), and can propagate outdated information. -Dubious-
