Chaosian
Hey so I got a question about using mods in Skyrim and getting crashing. My game is heavily modded at this point, everything from extra races to high resolution textures and armor/clothing mods etc. Most of the time surprisingly, Skyrim is pretty stable, however I tend to notice that when I add mods that make more NPC's such as warzone and such my game crashing increases more. So now which brings me to my next point, my system specs. I don't think my computer is that bad. 6gb of Corsair DDR3 memoryIntel Core I7 950 overclockedGTX 580 just the standard one with 1.5gb of onboard memory Is this system really incapable of running Warzone with the other mods like higher res textures and such? I do have graphics maxed out so that could be an issue, so I'm going to do more play testing with lower graphical settings, but honestly I've had this problem since Warzones and New Vegas. So if it indeed is a memory issue, how would it be best going about to fix this? Should I simply add more memory to my system? Or I was thinking of upgrading my card to a GTX 670 and maybe buy the one with 4gb of onboard video memory. Or will this even effect things at all? Perhaps my skyrim has just become too unstable from all the mods installed. Anyways any advice here would be appreciated, I'm just wondering really if it's my machine or my game that's the problem.
