Sup Ladies and Gents?

Hey everyone, the name's Zach, or BaconFlips if you'd prefer to stick to the whole "I'm not a real person, just a screen name on a forum" idea, it's cool, I get it ahaha. I'm 19, from New York in the good ol' USA and I attend college in Boston, Massachusetts. In my free time I love to read, practice martial arts (12 years and still kicking, literally, with one black belt and training for my second in a new style), practice parkour and freerunning, and, or I wouldn't be here, play some video games. My screen name here is derived from my freerunning nickname, which is "Oinky," just in case you were wondering, "Why in the world did he go with BaconFlips?" Oink=Pig=Bacon and Freerunning involves flips... so BaconFlips lol. I recently decided that I wanted to have a go at modding because I have way too much free time this summer and I want to learn something (Maya, 3ds Max, coding/scripting) that I can use later on in life. You know, be all productive and whatnot instead of just sitting around and leeching off of others. I've never really tried 3D modeling or scripting, so I'll be starting from scratch here, hoping my lack of knowledge can drive me to learning as fast as possible. My only design experience amounts to years on years of fooling around in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks mainly, but I do dabble in Premiere and After Effects from time to time). I decided to join here because it seems like the place to be for doing what I want to try and do, and learning, and of course sharing my results if I get good enough to not be embarrassed haha. I hope I can find some helpful and like-minded people here and I hope I can learn as much as possible to be a productive member of this modding community. I'm glad to be here now, and I hope you guys are glad to have me!

 

P.S. I really doubt I'll meet anyone here who recognizes me/ any signature I may use now or in the future, but back when I used to inhabit other forums (a whiiilllleeee back) I went by the name Omega.
