Is there a mod that adds basic resources to workshops?

I know that there are many many 'infinite resources' mods out there, or mods that give you thousands of every resource, but that is not what I am after.

What I'm after is a mod that just puts a handful of basic materials (maybe a hundred wood, steel, concrete with maybe a small handful of copper, gears etc.) into the workshop of each settlement you unlock just to give you a bit of a head start, and remove the need for excessive material farming of constantly buying shipments.

Does anything like this exist anywhere? If so I'd be grateful for a link, as I've been unable to find anything like it.

Thank you.

Just make a bat file with the base IDs and number of each component that you want. The FO4 wiki has all the ID info:

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_crafting

The entry for console commands has info on making a bat file (just a simple Textfile) with a sample with all components you can copy and modify for your needs:

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_console_commands

Run the bat file, deposit the components into the workshop, enjoy your game.

Thanks, but both of those options feel a little bit too 'cheaty' to me. I know you could argue that the mod I wanted was also 'cheaty', but the the fact that it would have worked passively in the background would have made it feel less so than actively 'typing cheats in' either with a batch file, or via console or cheat mod.

Never mind, I guess I'll just have to go farm materials and caps.

This is a bit more lore friendly, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32212 , this one uses a console comand to get 10,000 of each item, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30855 , you download to desktop, unpack it in same location, then drop into the Fallout 4 Data folder. When in game, open the console and type, bat materials , rinse and repeat at each settlement. No, it's not lore friendly, but I have two separate accounts on different computers, running this game. I use it because testing different mods means a lot of restarts, and hunting for material takes way to much time. I hope one of these helps.

Thank you. The Salvage Bot was not precisely what I was after, but it does look like an extremely cool thing to have around, and well worth installing on it's own terms. I guess I could keep the batch thing in mind if I ever get really stuck for materials, but once again it seems just a little too 'cheaty'. I wonder it if might be possible to edit it so that it only provides 100 wood, concrete, steel, gears and oil and nothing else.

Yes. You can edit it any way you want. That's exactly what I meant when I said "a sample with all components you can copy and modify for your needs" when mentioning using the bat file example I linked to. Remove the components you don't want and lower the numbers generated to suit your taste. As I said, it's just a text file. Honestly, activating a mod or running a bat file command isn't any different when they produce the same results.

As RedRocketTV mentioned, once bat file is downloaded and unpacked, open it using notepad or notepad + +. Remove as many zero's as you want, or change to the number you want, go to file and click save. This can be done before or after dropping it into the Fallout data folder. The other thing I wanted to mention is another mod by Athelbras called Settlement Tidy Bot, similar to Salvage Bot. This goes around cleaning your settlement of dead bodies and such. It's also configurable to do more or less cleaning, as you like. I did start a new game and will be using all three. I hope you find something that works.

*cough* i made that

its in the fallout 4 overhaul mod ive released. workbenches have crafting items in them fitting their type

It might be a lack of sleep on my part, but could you do a clarification on your statement, " *cough* i made that ". I did a search for mod authors and found 12 under your screen name, all beginning with, Alex's. It leaves me scratching my head as to what you were referencing.
