subzero1980
hi, i have an idea for a mod that i would like to create and self finance, but beyond the idea and funding itself have no personal talent in animation, voice acting, scripting or mod creation. are there any guides or lists of people to outsource the various aspects to? in particular, i am also interested in knowing if vanilla skyrim voice actors can be hired, and where i would go to do so. are there any indications of what parts of the mod are going to be the most costly? any guidance is appreciated! Deleted3897072User
People aren't allowed to accept money from you for modding Skyrim. The whole idea is that, if you have an idea for a mod, you learn how to mod.

IIRC commissioned works are against the terms of use for the Creation Kit and the game itself, it specifies that commercial use isn't permitted. Voice acting, I don't know but I assume it's usually volunteers. I guess you could find up & coming people who are hoping to break in as professional VAs. Doing voice work for a major mod can potentially give them something to show off to companies. If they happen to VA for a famous mod that could help them in seeking a dubbed anime role which is where most probably start as pros, from there if they stand out they can get game roles. They're very hard to find and I imagine you'll need something extremely impressive. hi, i have an idea for a mod that i would like to create and self finance, but beyond the idea and funding itself have no personal talent in animation, voice acting, scripting or mod creation. are there any guides or lists of people to outsource the various aspects to? in particular, i am also interested in knowing if vanilla skyrim voice actors can be hired, and where i would go to do so. are there any indications of what parts of the mod are going to be the most costly? any guidance is appreciated! If your mod becomes famous it might be a (very)small possibility. Atomic Radio - Tales of the Commonwealth had the one guy who did VA for ghouls. But I am pretty sure that's the most famous Fallout 4 quest mod next to Fusion City Rising and to my knowledge this is the only mod out there featuring voice work from one of the actual game VAs, possibly for any Bethesda game. I am guessing he volunteered, since typically the contracts they sign would prohibit them from playing their roles in an official capacity anywhere else. At any rate, VA is a distant future kind of concern and a big time maybe. First you'd need to create an epic mod that gets popular enough to reach like 10,000 Endorsements, possibly more since IIRC Skyrim remains quite a bit more popular for modding than Fallout 4. Popular enough that it gets featured on the Youtube channels and stuff.
