Watermelon911
Can someone please enlighten me about what impacts smithing?I tried crafting the same item using 2 chars both had smithing at 100 and enchanting 100 however the base stat's shown on said weapon/armour is totally different. New chars basic stats on Daedric bowhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/Phoenix911/th_NewCharsBowBaseStats.jpgOld Chars base stat's on same bow.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/Phoenix911/th_MainCharBaseStatsonBow.jpg Not just on the bow tho all the crafting items seem out of wack.Example new chars Daedric chest armour.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/Phoenix911/th_NewCharArmourBaseStats.jpgOld Chars base stat'shttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/Phoenix911/th_MainCharArmourBaseStats.jpg I have no idea what's going on I've not changed anything between the 2 chars and there smithing skills are the same. The only difference between the 2 chars is race and one is more magic orientated and the old being malee orientated. Am I missing something?
Stemin
If I'm not mistaken, stats for items are based on your skill levels, i.e. one handed weapons will have more damage based on your one-handed skills.
Watermelon911
I know damage or armour is effected by perks but that would be a passive trait right that gets worked into the calculations when the game is working out how much damage you do or takeSo the base stats (Displayed on the weapons or armours) on crafted items should not be different right? So If I'm correct then it should display the same stats on weapons or armour regardless of your perks in other stats such as 1h/2h, light/heavy armour. Example: if you make armour that has 100 def then you get a perk that increases your defence by 25% then the defence would work out as 125 def but the item will still display 100 and the extra 25 is taken into the calculations during combat? (passive) Or are you saying that it actually will alter the stats displayed on an item when crafting making it a visual thing? It would not make much sense if the perks were not a passive trait as it would mean you have to re-craft your equipment every time you increase the corresponding perks. Maybe I am mistaken maybe it is a visual thing on equipment but I would not have thought so, so if I am correct then why would it say equipment on 1 char have complete different base stats when crafted on the other.
