What program were you using before to monitor your temps? Does it have options for gpu vram?

You can just use the OS task manager's monitor feature for you CPU load.

About the missing textures, that as some kind of positive note, is indicating that textures were not properly installed. If textures aren't being properly installed, that can indicate the potential of other mods not being installed correctly which might have something to do with your crashes. Granted, missing textures shouldn't cause crashes, but it at least suggests items are not installing correctly.

Speedfan and no but it let's me see my cpu load. That program the other guy pointed out monitors the gpu but i still dont see anywhere where it monitors gpu vram, just my gpu load...

Which is funny since I use NMM and EVERYONE says how it's supposed to be automatic and you don't have to fiddle with it. Hrmp. I should have known better.

My card is nvidia, so I'm not familiar with the ati utilities - hopefully someone else can chime in with a suggestion.

***here is one you can try: http://www.amd.com/us/products/workstation/graphics/tools/pages/tools.aspx

---it looks like there is a memory viewer listed

I didn't necessarily mean that NMM installed incorrectly, but maybe a different mod alters the texture and something got overwritten. Easiest solution is to reinstall that mod that would contain/affect that missing texture.

So that gpu load number I said earlier (99%) doesn't have any meaning?

But I have no mods that retexture the buildings anymore. And Aela the Huntresses armor was missing the texture and I know I have no mods effecting her.

Ok using that and Speedfan (since I just saw it looks at my cpu usage), with no more mods then the ones I stated above on. My gpu load maxed out at 99% and my cpu usage went to mid 70's I think.

I'm not sure if that's what you wanted?

No, the memory usage, see if it's maxing out on your video memory.

99% for usage is normal, but yes, like shakahell said we're looking for vram/video memory usage.

All I see for memory with that program is memory type, size and clock. The clock seems to be the only one that would change. Is that what you want? If not then is there another program out there that will show me exactly what you want? I tried that amd site, but it only has the program for 64. I have 32.

From what I read on the site, it said the 32-bit version is included in the 64-bit version and to see readme.

hopefully that will provide.

Clock is relative to gpu speed, similar to a CPU processor speed.

Aight. Sorry if this has been discussed before. Several ideas and questions here.

What version of windows are you using, a 64bit or 32bit? 32bit will have issues due to limits regarding RAM. Not sure if there is a fix, but i can dig around if you would like. Its definitely been discussed before.

Your mod list is fine, i think. Its a small amount in any case, which is good stability wise.

Purple textures do indicate missing and/ or corrupted textures. NMM isnt exactly great when you want to overwrite texture files. I would recommend using Wrye Bash. Are you suing an large texture packs, such as 2KHD, SRO, or Vurts Flora Overhaul?

1.6beta and the 1.6 official have broken quite a few mods. I would not expect a stable game for a few weeks. the CK 1.6 update still needs to be released, and until that happens, mod authors cant even begin to fix their mods. And unless you made a backup of your skyrim folder there is no way to roll back.

Try adding these lines to Skyrim.ini or change the =0 to =1 if they already exist.

[Papyrus]

bEnableLogging=1

bEnableTrace=1

bLoadDebugInformation = 1

This will create a log that looks for script errors in game. You can find the logs where your savegames are stored, where the skyrim.ini files are stored as well. Usually in my documents. Once you find the skyrim folder for this, there should be another folder called logs, and inside that another one called scripts. Look for the Papayrus.0.log. See if you can find any stuff that looks like errors. Or post the log using

tags so i can take a look.

For looking at skyrim VRAM, RAM, CPU use, you can use the program Skyrim Performance Monitor. You can find it on the skyrim nexus site.

As always, do all this testing with default ini files. To get the default files, delete Skyrim.ini and Slyrimprefs.ini in your Documents/ Skyrim folder. Then run the skyrim launcher again.

Thats all for now. Good luck.
