R0NIN187
I'm getting the same thing. I already googled a few ways to get around it (including adding htat code under <settings> in the nexus config) but still no avail. Anyone else with the same issue? It was working fine earlier this morning but I had to log out.
bben46
This is strange as it does work for nearly a million users. :psyduck:There is a known password bug where the rest of the site will accept certain non standard characters that the NMM password will not. And they are supposed to be the same password. :wallbash: You need an English only password with NO special characters, NO dash, punctuation, space or underscore No non English characters, letters and numbers only and at least 6 characters long. You can also be blocked by your firewall, add blocker, pop up blocker or antivirus - that is on your end. One suggestion - try another browser, preferably a portable version that is not tied to the registry of your computer or anything else. Here is a site with a selection you can try. http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2009/09/14/14-portable-web-browsers-for-windows/
R0NIN187
Thanks bben, but I have tried your suggestions and none of them worked. :( So far, the only fix I can find is to download the previous version (0.18.3), install it, login, then update it to 0.18.4. Worked fine for me though. Maybe the devs of the mod manager can look into this? Seems like a problem on Win 7 64 bit OS according to other users. bben46
I have been using Win7 pro x64 since it first came out - it has proven to be more stable than the Win xp pro 32 bit version I was using before. (And so far, Win8 doesn't look too promising as a replacement)
Thandal
Also been using Win7/64-bit for years now. Found it far more stable than any previous flavor of Windows. Been testing Win8 for a few months (using it right now with IE10). I have found things to like; (faster boot, but that doesn't happen as often now) generally crisper responses, and things to dislike; (incompatibility with my 5-yo desktop's "Sleep" mode, harder to navigate to "things I knew perfectly well how to do before." ) The aspect that everyone seems to be giving such a hard time, the Metro interface "Start" screen, is just one click away from never even being seen by me. I made a couple of tweaks to minimize the jarring look of the flip from "Start" to "Desktop" (having the exact same background be something I selected is the key) and I pretty much stay there. Experimented with the games I play most often (DA/DA2) as well as a more obscure one (The Lost Crown), plus the usual assortment of standard applications (MS-Office, of course, and a few others.) My conclusions? As far as the traditional Desktop PC goes, Yawn. Once I train myself to the new locations for some things, I won't even notice. (I'll bet that by a week after release there's a tweak to bypass the Metro "Start" screen completely.) As far as integration with the rest of my computing environment. I'll have to see. This may be the compelling reason to jump on the band wagon. I already have a Windows Phone 7, and use the Metro UI every day. It's great on a 4-inch piece of touch-sensitive glass! Having certain things synced and behaving identically across all form factors might be fantastic. I'm really looking forward to testing a Win8 tablet this fall.
