supermaan
First of all, I am not a modder nor do I wish to be. I am perfectly content leaving the modding to the pros, and we are fortunate to have many very skilled people providing us players with awesome mods. The thing I am noticing is a sparsity of a specific type of player house. Despite the popularity of the multi-follower and multi-marriage mods, there is a definite sparsity of houses that provide accommodations for multiple followers/wives. This type of player home's focus would be on the ability to provide at minimum: a) A room or rooms having a total of 8 beds for followers. b) Typical kitchen, living room, master bedroom with double bed c) Any followers/npc's included in the mod should have their own beds in addition to the 8 for the followers. d) Any other accoutrements or rooms or items like pools, etc. would be of course be welcomed, as would be any functionality of said items &/or the ability of followers/resident npc's to interact with bonus items/areas. e) In any case, the main focus of the home/castle/bunkhouse should be to provide the player with the ability to house a minimum of 8 followers and a wife - 9 total player provided characters. Thanks for reading & I look forward to hearing other opinions :)
Stemin
What would be the point unless there's an additional mod that lets the followers live in said house? All they're gonna do is follow you around anyways. The player house mods are ridiculous at this point, IMHO already. I use a home to store things, craft things, and sleep. That's it. I'm in and out as quick as I can to get back to playing the game. These player houses are all huge and pointless. Yeah, they're WOW... and OOH.. when you first check them out, but then they get boring and you spend all kinds of pointless time navigating through them to get what you need. I've thought about this a LOT... and I'm glad Bethesda didn't put all the crafting stations in one house. Because I'd never use any of the others. As i said there are several multi-follower mods available to accomodate this. Perhaps I should have included the stipulation that the housing mod I am talking about should include/be compatible with one or more of these type of already available mods. As far as the general idea of the house, using a multi-follower mod &/or a multi-marriage mod, a player can obtain quite few followers/wives. Add to that any downloadable followers, and a central place to have them all in one area becomes very desirable. Any other functions such as you describe would be bonus content & perhaps add life/entertainment value to the residence. Just a thought... I thought you were talking about a follower manager type mod such as UFO. My point was, unless it doesn't something I haven't seen advertised yet, it's going to allow you to collect multiple followers, but the minute you enter your player home they're not going to just start using chairs and beds and such. They're not going to live there. Maybe I misunderstood you though. Maybe you're suggesting a mod that includes both a player home, and multiple followers that live there already? jet4571
Stemin, he is talking about a house that would compliment UFO or EFF by having extra beds for followers he would have live there. He is not talking about making a house mod that includes a follower overhaul.

I knew they let you have multiple followers, but I didn't think they made your followers use the furniture or walk around a player home. Actually some of them let you have like 8 followers yes? I can't imagine having that many followers trek through breezehome. You couldn't walk. I guess I must just be ignorant of everything UFO and EFF can do. Otherwise I don't see the point except for RP in your head.

I'll try to be more specific to my particular situation: I am running many mods, but the ones that I'm running that apply here are: UFO, Dudestia Multiple Marriage (the stand-alone 100 version), some followers from FalmerBane, Grimraven1 & migal130. These mods give me the ability to do several things with my followers obviously. I can marry them all, set my house to one such as i described in 1st post, dismiss them all (or some) & have them all be in one area so when I choose to use them as followers again I can do so without going to several locations to round them up. Also with some of the downloaded followers, I have the ability to dismiss them in a location and sandbox them where they are dismissed. So in a nutshell, I have the ability to have several options with my followers: a) following - in a married state or not b) dismissed - married or not. some with the ability to sandbox in the area dismissed, the others can be married and the home set to where we live. c) in all cases the ability to have all followers, regardless of status, be in one central location. All that being said, I'm looking for a mod that reasonably provides accomodations for these followers via the proper number of beds, etc. So much for being concise, but I hope I was clear :) Edited June 2, 2012 by supermaan

VileTouch
yes, i have something in the oven with this very principle in mind: having at least 10 followers and ample room for them to sandbox. but i have to warn you... don't expect it for this month or the next as it's custom content almost in it's entirety. all the rooms, textures, items, furniture it's all original stuff... at the moment i'm halfway done with ONE room (the main hall) and it departs completely from most of the game's cell building principles while keeping "that medieval" feel. things such as lots of windows, "exterior interiors", baked lights and shadows, things look clean and shiny, plenty of room to move around without bumping into stuff, curtains, paintings, table cloths..in short, a warm and pleasant space that would "hopefully" keep people coming rather than passing through. i would post screenshots, but i'm still making textures and modeling many, many details :)

I'll definitely keep both eyes watching for this mod you describe! Edited June 2, 2012 by supermaan
