D.A ORIGIN MODMANGER

@falloutnutter;

No you don't need a manager to install most mods. In fact, even with the three that are out there; the built-in DAUpdater, DAModder (DAM), and my favourite, DAModManager (DAMM), they only handle certain types of mods (mostly the ".dazip" files.)

See this article: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies.

Feel free to come back and ask more questions after you've read that.

Happy Modded Gaming! :thumbsup:

okay well I have done that and have DAMM but how do I get the unzipped file on to DAMM?

If it's a ".dazip" or ".override", then drag-n-drop to the bottom pane of DAMM. Then right-click on the icon now in DAMM and choose "Install".

If it's neither of those types, then you don't (can't) use DAMM to handle it and it probably just goes in your "\override" folder. (See the wiki article linked above regarding "All Others".)

It would help us help you if you would identified the mod in question. :whistling:

Indeed, well "Morrigan-3447-.7z - 7-Zip archive, unpacked size 4,431,436 bytes"

is the code name and the mod is under "Companions Redesigned - Morrigan-Leliana-Alistair-Wynne-Anders-Sten-Sigrun" in the companions category.

So my question is, how do you install non-dazip and non-override files?

In general, (and for the third time) mods that aren't a ".dazip" (or a ".override", unique to DAMM) usually go in your:

"\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override" folder. :armscrossed:
