Tom2681
Hello to all modders and players, Do you remember the E3 Demo and the original Skyrim trailer? Both clearly showed a dragon sitting on a pillar at Bleak Falls Barrow. And I was sooooo disappointed when I got there and found no dragon during my first playthrough. http://lagbt.wiwiland.net/wikibiblio/images/b/b1/DragonRoar.jpg http://gamerlimit.com/files/2011/12/skyrim-dragon.jpg Fast-forward to 8'00".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSL-r9AIEEU And those of you who have dug deeply in Skyrim.esm will have noticed several references to a Bleak Falls Barrow dragon. Now I'm pretty sure this dragon is what ended up as Mirmulnir.During the Dragon Rising quest, you can clearly see that he's coming from Bleak Falls Barrow. So it wouldn't entirely be lore-friendly to have a dragon sitting up there. But I reckon it'd still be pretty badass. Any modder up to the task?"All" you'd have to do is post a dragon on that pillar and do something about the bandits (I don't know what... move them to another location perhaps?).Or maybe leave the bandits in place and watch a fun battle ensue when you get there. Please-please-please-pretty-please with a cherry on top. The Creation Kit is confusing to me, otherwise I'd have done it myself. Thanks in advance. Eddieawsome
I think they removed him because he is needed at the whiterun tower. If you don't mind really breaking immersion im sure I could do it for you ;)
Tom2681
Yeah I know they ended up moving him to the western watchtower. But who's to say there isn't another dragon in that same area? Anyway it's one of the most iconic images of Skyrim, and it ain't even in the actual game.So yes, I'm very interested. Please let me know what you can do. Thank you.
Pentigan
The only problem I see is that Bleak Falls Barrow is before Mirmulnir, therefore if there was a dragon at Bleak Falls, you would be slaying him and getting a dragon soul before you are supposed to know you can. Hence why no wild dragons spawn before Mirmulnir.
Tom2681
Yup I know you're not supposed to face a dragon before Mirmulnir. But I don't see how that's a problem. Mirmulnir is simply the first dragon you slay in public view. Hence why everybody is surprised when you absorb his soul.Doesn't mean that you (the Dragonborn) need to be surprised as well. Post-fight discussion with the guard:"That's what you did, isn't it? You absorbed that dragon's power?"-I think you may be right.-I don't know what happened to me.-Dude, I did the same thing yesterday over that mountain. It was awesome! Plus some dragons don't give out souls. The Bleak Falls Barrow dragon can be one of those.
Michio2013
Only skeletal dragons don't give out souls, them and Aldiun. All other types of dragons give a souls unless there is a glitch or a mod conflict.
masterofshadows
yeah it would be easy as pie to put one up there, but it wouldn't be there when you first visit because dragons don't spawn until Dragon Rising.
Tom2681
That rule only applies to random encounter dragons, doesn't it?If I visit a word wall (or Bleak Falls Barrow with this mod) before Dragon Rising, I should find dragons there (no?). Michio2013
You can encounter them beforehand with mods and stuff, but it messes up the main questline.
rhamza161
Only skeletal dragons don't give out souls, them and Aldiun. All other types of dragons give a souls unless there is a glitch or a mod conflict. Maybe it is because I have Deadly Dragons mod, but when I spawn a dragon to test something out there are codes in the console for dragons that don't give out souls. One of those dragons could easily be substituted for Mirmulnir or whatever the dragons name is. (I am not part of the modding community...sorry) and they are not skeletal dragons.
