Morodiilunahzaal
Like the topic says, i'm sitting on trying to create a texture for this. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/image.php?id=92990 I unwrapped it in blender but the template is like hieroglyphic to me. http://f.666kb.com/i/c4cz5fjvbtzfe2dsz.gif That's not what i'm used to look at when i took a look on other textures like vanilla ones. This is the first time i'm tryting to texture something, i also checked youtube and google for tutorials but it's almost flooded with tutorials for RE-texturing only, not for creating from scratch. aruless
U should unwrap ur model first(select the faces and making a "line"), in that way u can have a more clean template to work with it, also u maybe wanna start making a simple color layer, and then adding layers with the details(imo is more easy to work in that way). Edit: i was missing the fact that u already use unwrap in blender, now who u did it??? did u only aply the command or did u make the stiches?? PS "engrish" here so hope u can understand me xD Edited June 3, 2012 by aruless
Squizzo
A couple of tips. 1. Split the armour into separate objects.2. Try using 'project from view' for some parts.3. Mark seams to change how the uv is unwrapped.
Morodiilunahzaal
Hey guys thanks for replying, yes i did unwrap it, but no matter where i cut the seams the result is the same  Squizzo, seperating the armor would be modeling work, right? Because i'm just the guy who tries to create the texture, we are 2 man working on that beauty. Venarge did the mesh work. Originally that was planned as a 1-Part armorsuit to make it a bit easier for us. Thats the first armor we ever created. Guess it's not that easy at all. :ohdear:
aruless
You could or the guy who do the armor, split the mesh into tinny bits, like the arms and torso so u can have a better and clean uv map.
