Need help with changing properties of an animation

Hello all, I need help with something. I want to change an animation so that it doesn't make any movement. Example animation: 2hw_attackpowerleft. When started, regardless of what animation is in place, it will make the player move left. I want to change this so it doesn't. What files need to be modified and how to make this? Or is creation kit needed for this? After experimenting around with the CK, I found that one could set, instead of "attackpowerstartleft"-animevent to attackpowerstartinplace, however this will both cause the player to not move AND the default attackpower animation 2hw_attackpower to be played instead of an additional one. so this isn't what I'm looking for.
