MasterAub
I everyone, How can I port a horse saddle to an elk/deer? Do I need to use blender or 3D Max or can use only Nifskope or only the CS?Try to do a deer saddle with the horse saddle in the CS but it did not work. I assume some changes (other than renaming) have to occur. Can someone help me out either by putting me in the right direction on how to do itOr can someone do it for me Thanks mate
SeraphimKensai
It's pretty easy to use nifskope to do this. Open up two instances of the program. Load a horse in one and a deer/elk in the other. On the horse side find the saddlebone and copy the corresponding branch. Go-to the elk/deer instance and then paste in the branch. That will physically allow you to saddle a deer or elk in-game if you give your corresponding mount npc the right keywords or relationship to the player, or maybe faction (sorry I've been drinking quite a bit on my honeymoon here in Jamaica, on maybe my 12th drink for the afternoon or so). That said if you want to copy over the mesh of a saddle onto your deer or elk you can do that pretty much the same way, you just have to identify the saddle you want to copy over, then copy branch paste and then align the corresponding bones using nifskope to match up so the saddle sits on the deer or elk how you want it to. You can alstmake your own DDS textures and reference them in nifskope to give your mount a unique appearance. In CK you then make your NPC, and fit it in the right faction, and make up it's armor add-on to whatever texture you're using and it should work. Honestly if I've forgotten something I'm sorry, someone else should be able to help you more, otherwise YouTube or goggle should practice vide you with an adequate tutorial. Best wishes and cheers.
