Cyberweasel89
Okay, so I moved my Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas games from my old computer to my laptop. After lots of troubleshooting, I got it to work, but I couln't use Console commands. I was told if I uninstalled my infrared device, I could use the Console again. So I did. It worked, but oddly enough, I had to keep uninstalling it each time I turned on my laptop. I was fine with that. Annoying, but better than no Fallout. Well, just now, my USB mouse stopped working in the middle of my game. The laptop has a touch pad, but it's annoying because it keeps clicking when you don't want it to. My mouse is much better. So I check the bottom of my mouse, and the red light on the bottom is turned off. I use my laptop's diagnostics, and it says to download new device drivers from Windows Update. I do. My mouse still doesn't work, but I find out that it works fine in another USB port. So I go back to Fallout and find the Console won't work. I look to see that my Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver is re-installed, even though I hadn't restarted my laptop. So I try to uninstall it, and it says the uninstallation worked, but when the device manager re-loads, the Infrared Transceiver is still there. I can't uninstall it now. Any idea what's wrong? At first I thought it was because I set Windows Update to automatically download new device drivers. But I turned off automatic update again, yet my Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver still won't uninstall. I can't figure out what's wrong...
