Aurilius
In Falkreath and Winterhold the shop owners were killed during dragon attacks. It has been a long time (several reset cycles) and no one has stepped in to run the shops. I play the game on a PC. Is there a console command that will bring the two shop owners back to life ? estabien
Well I believe if they're dead on the ground the correct console command is (after selecting said shop owners) would be "resurrect" minus the quotes. But I only recall seeing that command on cheat lists and forums and I have never used it...
memlapse
I've used the resurrect command in similar situations, and it seems to put things to right.

gurgelstock
If they died a while ago, just using resurrect will most likely not be enough. UESP:Unless you use this command the instant the NPC is killed, the game will still register the target as "Dead" and they will subsequently not be mentioned in dialogue and sometimes specifically referred to as "Dead" during a quest. Adding a tag of "1" at the end (i.e., resurrect 1) will make the target get up instead of vanishing and reappearing, thus allowing them to keep their equipment (however, this does not always work - confirmed on PC). If an NPC's corpse has vanished already, you will also need to enable the NPC. [...] So 'resurrect 1' and then 'enable' should be the saver method :)
xlcr
@Aurilius, i've been using this work-in-progress mod for a long time because i wanted to give npc's in towns/cities some way to survive dragon attacks from mods like deadly dragons etc. The modder has managed to script most of the npc's he can to seek safety instead of standing and fighting and dying so far. This is the only mod i have found that does this and i wish bethesda put this in the game to begin with. After any dragon attack i usually run around and resurrect any dead npc's i can find anyway.
