Deleted49413338User
I just recently installed a mod that requires CBBE, so I downloaded it. I know it is very popular, though I am not a huge fan of women not owning any underwear, lol.. wouldn't breasts be very saggy if bras no longer existed in the wasteland? I have never bothered with using this mod. Anyway, I am guessing it replaces the female body (perhaps also the male?), I chose the one closest to Vanilla. But does this now mean that every Armor mod I have will need a CBBE version/patch for it to work? if so, I don't think I want to keep using it. kevkiev
It replaces the female body nifs (not male). I'd suggest googling for Gopher's youtube tutorial on CBBE/bodyslide. It's fantastic, and also covers how to make underwear a part of the body so it's "never nude." (And addresses the bra-less wasteland issue.) I followed that tutorial to the letter and quickly had my game CBBE/bodyslide ready, and knew all the basics of how to use bodyslide to modify clothing mods to fit the body type I chose (curvy). I guess not all clothing mods are CBBE-ready (you need bodyslide files too) but, especially since you use a female character, it's not a problem you'll run into very often. Edit: here's the link to the tutorial Edited August 25, 2018 by kevkiev
Deleted49413338User
Thanks, I don't need it for my own character, but for a mod that adds more variety to NPC's. The file of this mod failed to install through MO because it is too large, still contemplating if I am going to use it or not. It would mean downloading and replacing all the extra clothing Ive already installed for NPC level lists with the CBBE versions so that these new varied NPC body shapes don't clip or have floating clothing parts. At least, I think that is what is required. Some armors may not have these CBBE versions available. Thanks for the link I will watch it and decide on if I will keep this mod or not. Gopher always has informative content, I knew I could search google for an answer or youtube for a vid, but thought I might get a quick simple answer here, but watching this will probably give me what I need plus more, so thanks again. kevkiev
Lol, yeah, sorry for the typical "watch a video" response but I figured (especially since I misunderstood your query) Gopher's info would be 100x better than anything I could say. I wasn't aware of a mod that gives NPCs a CBBE body with the PC remaining vanilla, although I've never really looked. Actually, are you referring to "Unique NPCs" by any chance? Unless I'm missing something (always possible), I think that mod indeed requires CBBE for the NPCs it provides but kinda presumes that the user is ok with the player character being "CBBE-ized" too. Which, without some kind of mod magic, is what's gonna happen if you install CBBE. Edit: was assuming you're playing a female PC but I guess I don't know that for sure. If you play a male, of course installing CBBE isn't going to affect your character at all.
