darkdill
You can call me a cheater for this, but I've taken to using the console commands to make my characters essential so I can't actually die. Mainly I do this because getting one-shotted by a high-level dragon's melee attack just royally sucks when you have +1200 armor. However, there's a bug that exists in doing this. If you get "knocked down" while essential, once you get back up, your character will not make any grunting sounds, and all voices your character would use are strangely disabled. The only way I know of to re-enable those sounds is to load a prior save before you got knocked down. It's rather annoying, because it basically makes that essential status moot, since I don't want to continue if it means I'm not gonna make a peep (kills the immersion). So to ask, does anyone know if there exists a fix for this? I'd like to be able to utilize quasi-immortiality in the game without having to pay a steep price from a glitch. tg08096
did you try to resurrect yourself?
Perraine
Err ... what 'commands' are you using to make yourself essential? If you're using "setessential" I'm not surprised it's a bit buggy ... Just type in "tim" (without quotes) = Toggle Immortal Mode = You can't die, when your health reaches 1 you'll do the one knee/crawl thing until you heal up a bit ... HOWEVER! It can cause some weird behavior if the game is trying to play one of the crit. kill animations with your body as, technically, you are supposed to be dead, you have to wait for the amount of time that animation would normally run for (like 4-6 secs or something) and it can sometimes be a bit buggy with sounds or footsteps, normally zoneing somewhere (fast travel) will resolve it. jet4571
Or just go full blown and type TGM in the console and be a god.
