Michio2013
What is SKSE, that is, how does it work and does it risk damage to my computer, my steam warranty or whatever it is that lets me delete and redownload and, all things considered, is it worth downloading for the mods that use it? LuDux
does it risk damage to my computer If you use it more than three times in one day, your grandma will explode. Twice.
Rennn
This reminds me of the question, "Where can I download more CPU?" -_- Seriously, there's no risk at all associated with SKSE. Edited June 5, 2012 by Rennn
Michio2013
LuDux: lol I get the point @renn: Sorry if I came off as a noob, sadly, that's what I am. All I wanted to know is, what are the risks and, is it legit, as in, something Bethesda doesn't warn about/preferably condones. Thanks for answering my question (even if you were obnoxious) On a side note, feel free to choose option three on my poll. Paximilian Von Licht
Okay Michio, here's the skinny.SKSE, or Skyrim Script Extender, is a program that enables more functions for scripts in the game.It runs a third-party loader, not the actual game's loader. Therefore, it won't effect your warranty. You're literally just copying some files into your Skyrim directory and double-clicking on them.I used it for Fallout: New Vegas, uninstalled F:NV, reinstalled, etc.It doesn't do anything negative at all.It does enable some scripts that can make the game crash, but they're not just like, on all the time. It's fine. You're fine.SKSE is good and you should use it. mbaku616
So is this a must have mod, and is it essential?
NexusComa
SKSE is just what it sounds like it is ... It is a library of extended script commands for use when creating scripts for Skyrim (exp: mod scripts). Yes 100% use SKSE for 2 reasons. #1 Many good mods use SKSE. #2 It adds wonderful new commands when scripting for Skyrim in the ck.
