Texture File Path

If you have the texture path right for the game, then it will be wrong for NifSkope and everything will look white there. (Unless there is newer NifSkope version available, a different installation procedure, or more settings to adjust.)

Before uploading your mod, be sure to inspect the textures while play-testing.

The texture paths in your uploaded mod will need to be like this:

textures\armor\Myawesomearmortexture

Not like this:

C:\Games\Skyrim\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data\textures\armor\Myawesomearmortexture

If you use the second approach, the textures will only work on your computer and the few others that chance to be set up exactly like yours.

You may have to resort to going into NifSkope and examining all your texture file paths one by one to be sure you did it right.

If you extracted all the textures from the bsa, you can add the location to where they are in the settings for Nifskope. in the render menu up top, bottom choice "settings". in the custom box do add folder and browse to where you put the bsa textures directory. then when you are making a new item create the directory the mod will use in there and when you do the textures filepath it will show the textures in nifskope.

Okay but the problem I am having is the textures are purple

Should I go to Nfiscope to check the paths?
