Palewhiteprints
Hey guys I'm Pale, I'm just some guy on the internet that's interested in modding and goes to college for Game Art and Graphic Design, so I thought getting into modding would help me out by being able to make stuff that I want to make for games and putting them in and seeing if people would be interested in them.To make it plain and simple I've modded somewhat in the past but with programs and other help through others, but now I'm trying to learn how to extract models and files on my own so I can mod games that I want to mod example being: Monster Hunter World. I'm sort of newish when it comes to doing this stuff because I've had prior knowledge but some of the files can be a bit tricky so I'm trying to figure out how to extract a game's files so I can edit them and what not haha. WastelandAssassin
can't personally help you with this , but I suggest you check out the description of this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/38it has a tutorial on how to extract specific game files . not sure if these are the types of files you wish to modify , or if this will work with other types of game file , but hopefully it will set you on the right pathif this doesn't help but you can find a mod on the MHW Nexus that does something like you are trying to learn , I suggest trying to contact the mod's author through the comments or a PM and asking for instructions
Palewhiteprints
I'll try that out thank you, I found out through some digging around on the MHW files that it's in a bin file named chunk0.bin and that in order for me to get what I want I would probably need to open that bin because it's 16gb so I figure something has to be in there. But I will check this out :D
