LX6R
I would really love if you guys added a system to endorse mods more than once. There are mods that were once great and deserved my endorsement at that time. I'll won't take it away. But I feel the system is a little bit unfair towards the modmakers that always update their mods - sometimes small fixes, sometimes big content updates. Wouldn't it be cool if we could endorse them again? Don't you know the feeling when a cool update comes out like "Man, I already endorsed, voted, and so on?" Of course this would need some kind of abuse protection... Edited August 28, 2018 by JohnnyTest91
dikr
Pretty solid idea if you make endorsements file / version based. Then again ... there are mods that by nature, don't require much updating, and mods that require it regularly or need a ton of alternative files to cater for everyone. So it would benefit certain mod types. Maybe an alternative to your idea would be every user being able manage their own top 100 mods (or modders!). For those mods / creators that deserve more than simply endorsing. In that way you would create a parallel database of highest 'personally rated' mods or modders. (Which would only be of use if it would paint a different picture than current FOTM lists and other charts, and that's the question). To me there's a more urgent issue with endorsements though; most users don't endorse. Ever. That's a sad state of affairs. I.m.o. recently downloaded files + endorsement option should be prevalently displayed on the front page rather than always a couple of clicks away or in its separate page. SirSalami
Try not to use profanity if possible, even if censored, thank you. Anyway, I can definitely understand the sentiment but as you imply, such a system could possibly be abused and arguably is not what the endorsement system was designed to represent. That said, there's always other ways to show support of course, donations, thankful comments, but maybe most importantly, spreading the word. Taking to the forums or other outlets to promote a mod is probably one of the best things you can do to help show support.

Or you could introduce a system only for updates. Not endorsements but kudos or likes or whatever. I agree that the endorsement option should be more prominent - but that's only one issue with the new design imo :X Edited August 28, 2018 by JohnnyTest91
