Sanguinare Vampiris Pickpocketing Fix Help

Before anything else is said, here’s an important note; I have no experience modding Skyrim. My experience consists mainly of searching for variations of “pickpocket” in the objects menu on the Creation Kit. I probably won’t know a lot of the terminology, and I also don’t even know if what I’m trying to do is possible. If it isn’t, just tell me.

 

Yesterday I downloaded a mod called Sanguinare Vampiris, a vampire overhaul mod that looks like it will be awesome once I get infected properly. In order to make the Vampirism perk tree that the mod adds in work, the guy making the mod had to combine together two vanilla perk trees – in this case, the Lockpicking and Pickpocketing trees. Lockpicking is considered the “dominant” skill in the new perk tree, meaning that picking locks gives you experience, while pickpocketing does almost nothing (it levels up the Vampirism tree, which goes from 15 to 100 with the experience of stealing 6 pieces of gold and, as far as I can tell, doesn’t benefit from leveling at all). I was figuring that I could somehow modify the action of pickpocketing so the experience went to the Lockpicking tree. Is there any way to do this that I’m just not finding? On my thief files I tend to level Pickpocket much faster than Lockpick, so it’d be helpful for me.
