ENB mod confusion

There are a lot of ENB mods, and I really have no informed opinion on which one to use. I'd like to use an ENB mod together with "Realistic Lighting with Customization" if possible. I really like the look of "True Vision Cinematic ENB", but I don't know how well it would combine with "Realistic Lighting with Customization". Can "True Vision Cinematic ENB" be customized to my own liking (so that I can get the best possible effect when combining with RL)? Should I try something else?

The better way to figure this one out, would probably be if someone could link me to a comprehensive thread that covers how the different ENB mods actually work, so I can make an informed decision for myself. I'd greatly appreciate any help I can get.

Hi Jermungand,

Maybe I can help clear up some of the confusion regarding RLWC and True Vision Cinematic ENB. I've made the choice not implement RLWC into my ENB because I would rather use it with a mod called "More Dynamic Shadows and Striping Fixed", which is not compatible with RLWC. My newest version 1.5a includes "More Dynamic Shadows" with the quality presets as a standard item now.

If you decide on using RLWC and True Vision Cinematic ENB, then you still have the option to since my mod is independently configured, but you will need a fair amount of knowledge of how to configure RLWC to work with ENB properly, and of course you will have to disregard using the "More Dynamic Shadows" portion of my mod. I have very limited knowledge about RLCW, so I couldn't give you any solid advice on where to start.

On a separate note, if you would like to know more about how ENB actually works, then you could either visit enbdev.com where they have numerous threads and very knowledgeable people who can answer your questions, or you can download Tapiok's ENB mod "Skyrim Enhanced Shaders FX" and read the 40+ page user manual that discusses key elements on how to get the best out of your ENB mod.

I hope this information helps you, and you're more than welcome to post any questions you may have in my mod page comments section.

Thanks for trying my True Vision mod!

My Best Regards,

Bronze, very good advice there :)

Jermungand, as far as i know there is no decent thread where many different ENB are discussed in detail with how to customize them. Ive looked before as well. As Bronze mentioned, best bet is either the enb forums, or to use the guide from Skyrim Enhanced Shaders FX, which is actually how I learnt how to customize my ENB. Most ENB setup that *require* RLwC or other lighting mods do not actually require them. You can try out different lighting mods, just as Bronze mentioned. Just dont install the RLwC files. Some other lighting mods are More Dynamic Shadows, URWL, and CLO.
