Help with Creating new potions and poisons...

Hello,

I wanted to add some simple potions to Skyrim like:

Kajiits Eyes (See in the dark)

Dragon Fighter (90% resist fire, frost, and electrical)

And a bunch more... Very hard to create but very rewarding potions and some nice poisons too... I have created them with the Creations Kit, but my problem is I cannot for the life of me find out how to make it so you have to use the alchemy table and ingredients to create them... I have em in game but I have to place them in the world as appose to creating em...

Please if you know of a tutorial or can explain as to how I can do this please let me know... I was checking in the same place as the armours and hides etc, but didn't see anything... Cheer in advance for any help...

The alchemy system is totally different than the crafting system. The alchemy system is very old and has been around at least since Morrowind. Potion effects result from using two ingredients that have the same effect, and the strength varies according to your skill at alchemy.

The crafting system is brand new for Skyrim and was not in Oblivion or earlier games. With this system, you make a recipe with whatever ingredients you please, and specify whether you use a cook pot or or forge or whatever. For the potions like you describe which come in a predetermined strength, you could make a crafting recipe and brew your potion in a cookpot or on an enchanting table, but that would look funny. Maybe you could make a custom object in the CK that is cook pot which uses an alchemy station model.

Cheers David...

I ended up just throwing em into the cooking pot... As I more then likely won't release em it's not too bad... Very odd Bethesda didn't just utilize a similar system as crafting for Alchemy... Anyways... Thanks again
