Need help creating a helmet on back/hip

Ah. It's not only the helmet but a complete amor. Than you export the whole armor of course. Just make sure you unset the reference or export with reference. Otherwise the main armor is missing as you set the body piece as reference.

That's what I wanted - the armor is a different file. For this one, I only want the helmet (so I can wear it with the armor ingame).

I removed all other meshes now from the nif and it still works (exportet it normally)

This is how my file now looks: https://imgur.com/a/JVJnpGd

And this is how it looks ingame: https://imgur.com/a/qVxZ4xw

You said if I remove all the other meshes I should export it with references - I just exported it (without the reference option). It still works, so am I fine to go or do I have any downsides to expect?

Great it worked. You won't have any downside. I just thought you want this armor to be one piece. And when a mesh's name is green it means 'reference'. When you export as nif, the reference is removed. If you want to keep the reference, you have to export as 'nif with reference'. So no. You don't have to expect any downsides.

Just walk around and see if the helmet moves along the body as expected. If not, try another bone. If it does, you're done.

Seems to work like I want :) Thank you so much :) I am happy now!
