OldSkoolRPG
I have a magic effect for a spell that does damage over time and don't want it to be spammable. The no recast box is ticked but isn't preventing multiple castings from stacking. I've read the documentation for the CK for the "Dispel effects with these keywords" tick box and am still unsure which way it works. If you cast a spell with dispel with keywords box ticked on a target and then cast it on the same target a second time does the second casting dispel the first casting and then does nothing else or does the second casting dispel the first casting and then take effect like normal? SeraphimKensai
The way I would do it is create a custom keyword for your effect. Then put a condition that if the target has the keyword to not allow a 2nd cast. That way you shouldn't have to worry about stacking dots. The dispel window in the magic effect screen doesn't really work the greatest in my limited experience in terms of reliability.

I was so hung up on figuring out the tick boxes I never thought to just do it another way. Easy change to implement and worked like a charm. Thank you!
