Mickko97
Hello to everyone who will read this post. I've encountered some problems and since i am not much of an expert in modding, programming and such, i was wondering if anyone here was able to help me. So let me begin. I ran into a mod Legacy of the Dragonborn (i'm sure most of you are familliar with it) and i decided to download it. After the installation i ran into a problem with it being all bugged out by not having stairs and such, i ran some tests by disabling other mods or reinstalling the LOTD one and came to the conclusion that Open Cities mod is somehow making LOTD not work properly. I googled about the problem and the only solution i found was reinstalling the OC mod, which didn't fix anything the problem still remains. Is there any way to uninstall OC mod and somehow change/edit the safe files so they actually let me continue on with the same save without having to play from the begining? (i know that deleting mods can affect the safe files, but i found this article and was wondering if this could maybe fix my problem https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=249185622 ) If that is not the possible option, then can anyone hep me by providing instructions on how to install LOTD and OC so that they actually work at the same time without crashing one another? I'm using NMM, but i know how to manually install mods, if that can help in any way... I want to play LOTD so badly, but i don't want to start all over since i've spent a lot of time in this save + played some of the other new land mods such as The Shire, Beyond Skyrim - Bruma, Beyond Reach etc. I would be so grateful if anyone could help me in getting the problem fixed and i'm looking forward to your replies! Thanks in advance! wfandrews
As you have already installed Legacy mid-game and have tried to play with that mod configuration you have undoubtedly completely borked your game. My advice would be to make your game vanilla again; you can google that and choose one of the guides to make a vanilla game. Do not simply delete the game through Steam as this leaves many files behind and will not fix your problem. Then start a new game using LOOT to sort your load order and running a Bash Patch. I would advise not using Open Cities as this mod has a lot of conflicts with other mods and can be very tricky to install successfully unless you are quite knowledgeable about modding. Unless you know what you are doing you should never install new mods in the middle of a game as the potential to break your game is quite high, as you have discovered. I do not believe there is a "fix" for your problem except to make your game vanilla and starting a new game. I would also advise you to read some of the many guides to modding Skyrim successfully as that is essential for a stable modded game.
