catalyst2142
okay i have quite a few mods installed however FNVEdit is telling me .... [00:01] Background Loader: [MPO scriptaddon TTW.esp] Adding master "LonesomeRoad.esm"[00:01] Background Loader: [MPO scriptaddon TTW.esp] Adding master "GunRunnersArsenal.esm"[00:01] Background Loader: [MPO scriptaddon TTW.esp] Adding master "Fallout3.esm"[00:01] Background Loader: [Fallout3.esm] Loading file[00:01] Background Loader: Fatal: <EOSError: System Error. Code: 2.The system cannot find the file specified>[00:03] Background Loader: finished I'm assuming that means that I'm missing "Fallout3.esm" However figuring that out isn't my issue here I'm trying to figure out what mod i installed requires "fallout3.esm" as a master dependency because i don't own fallout 3 and none of the mods that i installed stated fallout 3 as a requirement in their description. I'm not super savvy on modding id most likely say that the extent of my abilities would be some basics but with the need to occasionally watch a video to figure out how to do something.. however in this case all of my search results lead me to something entirely unrelated hence my need to make this post if anyone can assist me with this and in a way that can be explained in a easy step/basic fashion then that would be amazing. thanks. dubiousintent
TTW requires you have FO3 installed. If you have ANY mods (or mod "optional files") for TTW installed but not FO3 then you will have that problem. * Don't install every optional file for a mod. Read the install instructions carefully. Optional files need to be selected on a "case by case" basis. For example: with any mod you usually only need one ESP (and possibly one ESM) "base" file depending upon whether you have all the DLCs active or not. Only if you don't have them all active do you need to install any specific DLC versions if there is an "Ultimate Edition/All/Merged DLC" version. * Don't install compatibility patches for mods you do not have installed/active (e.g. get rid of any "TTW" patches if you aren't running TTW).We REALLY need to see your sorted "load order" as produced by "LOOT"; to include the main game and DLC files to give you more help in this regard. With modded games its the sequence, not merely the list of mods, which is the cause of many problems. LOOT's sort gives a good first approximation, correcting the most obvious issues and is sufficient for most players. You can make minor adjustments to the order and tell LOOT how to remember them. It's in the documentation under "Metadata". Instructions on how to copy it's list for posting are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. -Dubious-
catalyst2142
alright thanks that was the problem indeed it seem that one of my mods had a optional file that it didnt notify me of that had TTW as a basis as you said. ive deactivated that file and fixed it all is working well as of now. thanks again.
