maidenm
I got into the elder scrolls universe a few years back, when my brother showed me oblivion. He and I weren't on very good terms with me being a moody teenager and him being a brat... or was that me as well? I'm not sure. Either way, we bonded over our mutual interest in oblivion and games in general and now we are on very good terms (yay!) and we both love Skyrim and the modding community so I figured I'd ask for something on his behalf. He told me many times that he'd like a mod allowing the player to sit on certain chairs (thrones) in the same fashion as the Jarls in the game. With the laid-back posture and the hand and everything. I myself have no idea how it would be done, but if anyone could do it or teach me how to do it I'd be grateful and my brother would be happy. It's a small thing, but I'm sure it would be nice for many players who enjoy immersion and role-playing in their games. Like my brother :) Sorry for the family-background ;P
kevkiev
Doesn't the PC sit that way on thrones by default? I can't remember which one it was (Riften I think), but my PC sat on a throne once and adopted the laid-back Jarl look. (It was unexpected and rather cool!) I'd think it's the type of idle marker that accompanies thrones and doesn't have anything to do with the character. Sorry if I'm not understanding what you're asking. Family bonding through video games - that's kind of a nice story! (Wish my brother was into video games }
TheGreenLion
I have an inkling that is has to do with the chair's keywords, one of which should be called IsJarlChair. A throne should have 3 keywords if I remember right: Force1stPersonView, IsSpecialChair(?), and IsJarlChair. So to make one that you can sit in and look at yourself, you'd have to remove the 1st person view and special chair keywords. All you really need is the IsJarlChair in the Keywords menu. I've noticed that when my player sits in a chair like that however, that his foot clips through the floor so the chair would need to have some elevation unless that doesn't bother you. If you need help on how to do that I or whoever else can type out a quick "chair editing" tutorial, but if you have the CK and know how to use it somewhat, just type in throne at the top of the Object Window to filter any thrones, double-click or right-click and select edit to view it to see how it is set up. Then you can check it against a common chair, and see what is different and what needs to change. If you do that, create a duplicate of the chair and rename it to something you'll remember and edit that chair, place it in game and test it out. Just as a rule make a duplicate of anything you are going to mess with so your vanilla game isn't affected by the changes. Good luck!

I'm quite familiar with CK so I should be able to work it out. My brothers issue with the thrones has mainly to do with custom houses, I'm guessing people who made some of these awesome player homes either didn't know or forgot about adding the keyword. Hopefully I'll be able to create something myself for him :) Thank you both for your help :)
