KitsuneWolfGirl
Okay, let me explain this the best way I can. I'm trying my hand at some simple modding for the first time and I'm looking for some help. I'm looking at doing a retexture for a current armor mod (this will not be released, this is simply for my own character aesthetics). However, I am using MO for my modding and from what I understand a mod works across all my other profiles. So what I'm asking: is there a way to do a simple modification to a mod without it affecting the same one on another save? I'm guessing at this point I'd need to make a separate mod for a small retexture. How would I go about doing that? I'm extremely novice at this point, so I would ask if you could explain this carefully to me. I'm trying to be as resourceful as I can while making sure I don't muck up something important. JobVanDam
First you have to find the texture path for mesh you want to change. Recreate the texture path directly in your Skyrim folder, make a quick change to the texture so you can see if it's correct. Test it out in game and if it works correctly zip up the entire folder path with textures, drop the zip file into your MO folder -> downloads folder then install as normal. If you don't want this personal mod to affect other profiles just unclick the mod like you would any other mod. If you want me to go more in depth with any of the steps just let me know which steps your stuck on/need help with.
