Here is a list of useful spells which I have found myself creating when I have played Oblivion on the PC, Xbox 360. Haven't played it for PS3 but the spells will work in the same way.

 

Fortify Skill Enchantments:

 

Ok, people often find themselves wondering how to get these fortify skill effects. The simplest answer I can give you is: The Skeleton Key

 

Requirement:

 

The Skeleton Key, given to you by Nocturnal grants a +40 Security bonus when it is in your inventory. This is a useful tool as it is also an unbreakable lockpick. This allows you to make spell and apparel enchantments with fortify skill effects with it.

 

Access to a Spellmaking Alter if possible:-

 

My mod: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18832 allows you to create spells without the access to the Arcane University. Don't forget to look around for "Hidden Treasure"

Ok, here's the spells.

Name: Smithy

Effects: Fortify Skill: Armorer

Magnitude: 100

Duration: 1

Magic School: Restoration

Required Level: Apprentice

 

Description: A very useful spell for those who enjoy looting from Oblivion Gates and Dungeons. As the armour and weaponry you use can be damaged very quickly due to alot of fighting. Don't forget to take your repair hammer around with you!

 

Usefulness: This spell will grant you the ability to repair your armour and weapons without using up multiple hammers. This grants you the lifetime hammer perk.

 

Downsides: This spell will not allow you to repair armour beyond 100% and you will not be able to repair magical weapons or equipment. You will be able to repair magical equipment when you reach Journeyman of Armorer.

Name: Rip-Off Artist

Effects: Fortify Skill: Mercantile, Charm

Magnitude: 100

Duration: 2

Magic School: Restoration

Required Level: Apprentice

 

Description: This is good for low level merchats to get great deals.

 

Usefulness: This spell will allow you to get great deals from the stores, plus allow you to invest 500 gold in any store.

Downsides: There is no Masters Perk with this spell.

Name: The Filthy Pickpocket

Effects: Chameleon and Fortify Skill: Sneak

Magnitude: 100

Duration: 2

Magic School: Illusion/Restoration

Required Level: Apprentice

 

Description: This spell will allow you to pick the pocket of an unsuspecting victim with a small chance of getting caught. Just go behind them in sneak mode, cast and then pickpocket away!

 

Usefulness: Good for stealing back the money which you used for bribing.

Downsides: Doesn't quite work as well on guards, as they are more aware than other NPCs.

 

Requirements: Fortify Attribute spell - Go to City Chapels to find one

 

Name: Will of Akatosh? (These are example names)

Effects: Fortify Attribute: Willpower, Fortify Magicka

Magnitude: 100

Duration: 3-5 seconds

Magic School: Restoration

Required Level: Apprentice-Journeyman

 

Discription: Faster Magicka Regeneration

Usefulness: FASTER Regeneration

Downsides: Is there any???

 

Name: Magicians Will

Effect: Fortify Skill: Destruction/Illusion/Mysticism/Restoration/Conjuration

Magnitude: 0-35

Duration: 10

Magic School: Restoration

Required Level: Apprentice-Journeyman

 

Usefulness: Lowers the cost of spells

Downsides: Useless when the skill has been Mastered.
