Another freezing topic, Game just randomly freezes. here is mods and

I keep getting constant random freezes anywhere from a few minutes too an hour or two into the game. i have casm set too auto save every 2 mins because of this. the game didnt do this in the begining, and i dont remember the last mods i added. i also tried the bUseThreadedAI=1 in the ini file fix which did nothing. the game will just totally freeze. it wont crash until i hit ctrl-alt-del and bring up task manager. it will just stay frozen on the screen. it happens indoors and out

I'm not familiar with these esps but I would review them carefully and test the game with out them (if possible) to see if they could be linked to the problem. This may not be the case but since they are not recognized it would be good to check.

 

I also noticed you have no merged patch in that list. Is that the case?

A merged patch helps prevent save bloating and other errors when you have lots of mods.

 

Try downloading installing and running FNVedit. When you run it, the right window will run through all of your active mods and may detected errors right there. If it does not and shows that it's complete, right click on the LEFT window and select create merged patch, select a name (I recommend something like 'MP 6-12-2012) and after you have done this be sure to select it (the merged patch you have just named) as active with your mod manager.

ok i did what u said and the only errors i got were in the NVwillow mod and EVE FNV. dont know if there major or not. any ideas? do i need too delete the willow companion? or should i make the patch and try it out?

i also tried too make a merged patch, im not really sure what im doing wrong, but the game doesnt load the menu it just gets stuck at the main screen with the guy holding the gun. do i merge every file, and then uncheck all the files but the merged patch file? i dont really understand.

I'm told these errors are common and not a problem... although I've never received them :unsure:

 

Once you've made the merged patch just select it in the mod manager and LEAVE ALL THE FILES YOU HAD ON WHEN YOU MADE IT ON.

i thought the point of making a merged patch was too remove a bunch of the .esp and esm files so theres just one big file? when i made one with fnvedit it added what it says are master files but only some of my mods not all of them. i dont really understand what im suppose too do with it. do i delete the mods that are in the merged patch from the data folder now? and when i do try too load it with all my mods and the patch selected it freezes

As I posted above, you must keep all the mods. The merged patch simply sits at the bottom of your load list. If it freezes your mods or the order of your mods is the problem.

 

In case I didnt make myself clear enough.

 

I, personally, would start over and take greater care to slowly build my mod list. Take even greater care to assure that your load order is correct and that you make a merged patch every time you add new mods before playing.

 

I've been asking so many people this, I cant remember if I asked you... have you verified your game cache at all?

 

Also, what is your OS and RAM?
