Hello! I was playing skyrim and I have this weird bug/glitch thing , whenever I shoot arrow from any bow or any arrow in ground my game crashes to desktop without any errors. I already tried compability or run as admin and nothing worked, I even changed settings in speakers to 24 bit 44100KHZ and still doesn't work. I did get the beta patch thinking it would fix the bug but it doestn. I have 81 level char and every skills are 100 so my char is pretty beast. But I have no idea how to fix this CTD, its same for NPCs when they shoot with bow and arrow, my game crashes to desktop without errors.

Please help!

I use mod that fixes spell absorbation bug and unnoficial patch, my specs are Amd Athlon x2 6400+ 3.18Ghz cpu ,6gb DDr2 ram , winodws 7 ultimate 64bit , Geforce 8600gt 512mb, Im upgrading video card to Gts 450 2gb ddr3, That would improve skyrim and many other games, And i have latest beta patch 1.6. something Its latest that you can get. Uninstall those two mods. The unofficial patch is incompatible with the latest 1.6 patch, and the fix for spell absorption may also be incompatible with the latest patch. And do a full uninstall of the mod, just deactivating them by unchecking a box is not a full uninstall. Remove all files that the mods installed.

Did you also make any changes to the Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini files?

Ok I will try to uninstall those mods , and I did change skyrimprefs.ini in my documents wheres all skyrim saves.

Ok so I changed bGamepadEnable=1 to bGamepadEnable=0

and fAudioMasterVolume=1.0000 to fAudioMasterVolume=8.0000 so the sound is better.

Idk how that did break the game , but I will delete those 2 mods and reply back.

*EDIT*

ok so I uninstalled both mods, still nothing game gets CTD when I shoot arrow to ground or NPC shoots or I shoot to an NPC. The spell absorb fix is for conjuration because idk it just doesnt let me conjure NPCs so thats not the problem.

Well ini modifications can be a source of crashes, skyrim can just be weird that way, even if the tweaks seem like they couldn't crash the game. Your best bet is to actually delete the ini files completely, and then generate fresh new default ones by starting up the skyrim launcher.

Something else you could try is verify the game cache on skyrim using steam. You can find out how to do that here; http://www.howtogeek.com/116225/6-steam-troubleshooting-tips/ , under validate game caches.

If none of that works, got to breezehome in whiterun. You have to go here, due to some technical reasons, almost all places in skyrim do not work for this potential fix, and then wait 31 days. And it has to be 31 days, because bethesda made skyrim that way, it used to be only 3 days for oblivion lol. By waiting 31 days you reset every cell and spawn and npc in the game. It might help. Remember, no shortcuts here, 31 days wwait in breezehome (whiterun).

Also, did you use to have any other mods installed that you later uninstalled? Specifically on the character your trying to play with?

Yeah, you have to wait 24h (and press T), 31 times :P There is a mod that makes it much easier, but at the moment we want to test with as few mods as possible. It takes me 10 minutes to do it without the mods, and its boring as hell. Have fun! ;) Edited by MadWizard25
