travnape
ok I know that everything in morrowind the base game is in the construction kit disk, but where can I get the bloodmoon or tribunal graphics such as using an armor mesh and texture on a new item i want to make. I'm sure this question has been addressed but I can't find it with the one word search engine on this forum, and can't seem to find them anywhere
cmac
As far as I know, you can't get at the textures. I know that the Domina and Adamantium meshes and textures can be downloaded using the Adamantium plugin and the Domina plugin, but otherwise I don't think any of them are available. travnape
seems very strange, the thing which is even more strange is that I do a search on my PC for say A_Almindoril_helmet.nif (her hands helm) and it finds the model in a folder on my PC which doesn't exist! it's in the documents and settings folder burried in some CD Burning folder which I never put anything it, or tried burning anything from the game, it's very odd. I just want those nordic mail boots graphic to replace the boots of the apostle graphics I used on my custom item.
ApparitionX
In the TESCS Disc you can find all the textures and .nif moddels used in morrowind.
Marxist ßastard
I believe you can find them on the expansion discs.
travnape
actually I looked on the expansion disks and nothing, they are integraded into the ESP or ESM files.... Interesting thing though I just realized that since the models are already used in the game obviously, if you simply use the editor to alter the item ID name and change whatever statistics you want i.e. scripting, enchantments etc, it will simply ask you if you want to save the item as a new object... which is great, you just can't go from scratch which is just fine because now you don't have to search through the file listings for the mesh and icon, this is a handy shortcut to use on all custom item making from built in meshes
Marxist ßastard
There should be a "Data Files" directory on the root of your expansion CDs... That's where uncompressed art files are stored. When they are moved to your hard drive, they are compressed as BSA archives and stored in your installation Data Files directory. And while simple renaming of objects to reuse art files is the common thing to do, there are some meshes and textures that aren't used on any objects, like the Devourer and gong meshes on the Morrowind CD and the 512-unit Old Mournhold floor on the Tribunal CD. Also, I think its worth mentioning that I just got a Promise S150 TX2plus PCI-to-SATA RAID controller and twin 80Gb Serial ATA-150 7200.7 Barracudas in a RAID 0 array.
