corners and debris (invisible walls?)

Alright, so im not a modder, and am new to the forums here. i do understand the limits of what modding can do, and am aware that this is probably a pretty tall order. but i am BEGGING that someone address this.

I have turned up the damage in my game by a wide marign. i want that realistic, weapons have real meaning, feel. pinned down by a mingun, instead of mildly inconvenienced. this means that the game is reliant on snapshots, cover peaking, precise angles, and powerful weapons. Imfairly skilled. i know whan my aim is on point, and i know how to strafe with cover. but the sheer number of times where i have peaked cover in front of a powere armored, minigun toting enemy to fire my souped up energy rifle and penetrate their defenses, i find that some tiny, insignificant, BULLSHIT item got hit instead. this seems to be mostly due to piss-poor hitboxes for cover, and common debris. with star suspects being the general structures underneath the 'metal' category in settlement mode, and blown-out cars, with their torso height floaty wires. plus, ANY window. of ANY kind. it also seems to be more of a problem with specific single-shot weapons. the bolt actions, and most of all, the laser musket.it is PAINFUL to die in the same place 5 times, all because the impact box on the thing you were hiding behind sticks out 6 inches from the texture. I now that this issue could mean 3d modeling on a significant chunk of fallout 4s assets, but i guarantee there is a market for this kind of fix.
