I am really angry right now because I played oblivion maybe 6 months ago.. I got rid of it and now I want it back.. I have the disc but when I start to uninstall (I already uninstalled it before...) because I cant just play it, it pops up an error telling me to delete the files and I deleted files but it still needs more.. please tell me how to fix this or what files are left.. :thanks:

Are you using the DVD to uninstall directly from the DVD? Or are you using a windows uninstall program? The windows uninstaller can have a lot of problems and microsoft even has published a fix for it, the windows uninstaller cleanup utility, google it, if you need to, but I suggest using the DVD setup utility if you're not.

There's really not enough info in your post for me to clearly understand exactly the problem. Can you take a screenshot of the error message, or at least write it down verbatim, and explain exactly what steps you're using to uninstall (messing with the registry to uninstall is not a very good idea actually--improper uninstalling of programs is the major offender in PC operating system degradation).

Horrible quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT9qBJtUsUc

I will just copy and paste what the errors say.

Uninstall Errors:

>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp(390)

Papp:Oblivion

PVENDOR:Bthesda Softworks(http://www.bethesoft.com)

PGUID (and then a bunch of numbers)

2nd Uninstall Error:

Please do the following:

-Close any running program

-Check your temporary files

-Check your internet connection

Run the setup again

Play Error: Oblivion launcher could not find oblivion game exeutable

Please reinstall oblivion ><

Wow, a simple screenshot would have been better. I still can't tell if you're using the DVD setup to uninstall but it does NOT look like it.

You must start with that, by browsing to the 'setup.exe' on the DVD and using it to uninstall, if you haven't.

I've seen that same error posted somewhere else before, but I don't think the person described their solution, just said they "fixed" it without any other explanation.

I had similar problems like this and I Deleted the Bethesda folder in program files, then went into regedit and searched for "Bethesda" and deleted everything that it came up with. (Note make a backup of your registry first) Did a reboot and it was fixed.
