ArkRevan59
HiI recently downloaded https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/14452 that include a follower with it's standalone armor. I really like how the armor looked like so I tried it and found out that I can't see my hands and arm while wearing the gauntlet and breastplate. I guess i wouldn't be able to see the rest of the body if i used mods like the joy of perspective but i don't use it so I don't really care.I'm not well versed in modding and I just recently moved to Skyrim SE so I'm not sure how I should try to resolve it.I guess the problem comes from the nif not fitting with my UNP body, but it fits with the follower so...Does rendering first person require extra file that are not included since it's a follower armor ?Will I be able to fix it if I learn to use NifSkope and NIF Optimizer ?If someone can give me some advice, it would be really welcome =)Meanwhile I can keep on playing in 3rd person, but it's not always so nice ^^/
thumbincubation
I just peeked at the mod's contents and I don't see any meshes labeled as first person. Maybe I missed something, but you might use the creation kit to open the mod armor addon (aa) file, and see if there are any 1st person meshes assigned there. If not, you might drop the mod author a line and see if they've created any, and ask for some guidance there. If they haven't created 1st person meshes, you can find an armor with a similar shoulder style, or even a bare-shouldered armor, and use creation kit to assign those 1st person meshes to the mod's armor addon. What you would do is open the armor addon of the "new" mesh, highlight and copy the vanilla 1st person file path, then paste it into the mod AA's first person slot. Repeat for male armor, if there is any. You will want to cancel out of the vanilla AA, rather than closing normally, so the CK won't register a change to it. Then save the mod's AA with the new 1st person file path. What it should do then is find the mod's meshes for 3rd person, and find the vanilla 1st person mesh for when you're wearing it. ArkRevan59
Ok , thx for direction.i'll give it a try asap. I don't really care for the first person view , as long as i don't see flying weapons XDEdit : I only played a bit with the creation kit, but it seems like there is something that point to the Mata_gaunt_1_1.nif that is in my skyrim/data/meshes/.../ folderI'll look into it again once I've watch a guide or two about it ^^.http://image.noelshack.com/minis/2018/39/3/1537985659-capture.png Edited September 26, 2018 by ArkRevan59
thumbincubation
Gauntlets, at least in my limited experience with vanilla, usually have both standard and first person meshes, but not always. What you're looking for should be a mesh depicting just the tops of the shoulders and arms.
